Guidelines and requirements for submitting publications to the Agricultural Academy Academic Publishing House.
General Provisions
The Academic Publishing House of the Central Agricultural Library (CAL) publishes original scientific works in the field of agricultural sciences and related disciplines. Manuscripts submitted for publication must meet the following general requirements:
Submission of a manuscript implies that the authors accept these rules and guarantee that they hold the necessary rights to the content of the work.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright over their published works. By accepting a publication, authors grant the publishing house a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, and distribute the work in print and electronic form.
Licence
Works are published under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence unless otherwise agreed. The licence allows free use with mandatory attribution to the author and publisher.
Third parties
Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions to use materials (tables, figures, photographs) whose rights belong to third parties.
Self-archiving
Authors may deposit final versions of their works in institutional or national repositories after publication.
Commercial use
Use of published works for commercial purposes requires explicit written consent from the author and the publishing house.
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review. The identities of authors and reviewers are mutually concealed throughout the process.
Stages and Timelines
Possible Decisions
Accepted
The manuscript is accepted with no or minor editorial corrections.
Accepted with revisions
The author addresses the weaknesses indicated by reviewers and submits a revised version.
Rejected
The manuscript does not meet requirements or does not represent a sufficient scientific contribution.
Publication Ethics
The Academic Publishing House of CAL follows the principles of responsible scientific publishing according to the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Violations may result in rejection or retraction of the publication.
Plagiarism
Zero tolerance. All manuscripts are checked using anti-plagiarism software. Similarity above 15% (excluding self-citations and common phrasing) results in automatic rejection.
Fabrication and data manipulation
Fabricating, falsifying, or selectively presenting research data is a serious violation that may lead to retraction of the publication and notification of the author's institution.
Conflict of interest
Authors must declare any financial, personal, or institutional relationships that could influence the conclusions of the work.
Authorship
An author is a person who has made a substantial contribution to the concept, design, execution, or interpretation of the work. Ghost authorship and omission of actual authors are prohibited.
Duplicate publication
Simultaneous submission to two or more publications and publishing already published materials without explicit reference and permission are prohibited.
Corrections and Retractions
Identified errors or violations in published works are handled according to the following procedure:
Erratum
When a factual error (typographic or in calculation) introduced by the editorial office or the author is identified, an official erratum document is issued and attached to the original publication.
Author correction
When a minor error is identified by the author themselves before or shortly after publication, the author notifies the editorial office in writing. The correction is published with a note.
Retraction
For serious violations of publication ethics (plagiarism, data fabrication, duplication), the editorial board may retract the publication. Retracted publications remain visible with a clear marking.
Expression of concern
When there are reasonable grounds for suspicion but insufficient evidence for retraction, the editorial office may publish an Expression of Concern.
Access and Distribution
The Academic Publishing House of CAL supports the principles of open access to scientific information and aims for maximum accessibility of published works.
Open access
All publications are freely available online after publication.
Print copies
Distributed at the Central Agricultural Library and partner institutions.
National repositories
